Hannah Louise Stibbe
Hannah is a qualified ESL educator from the UK with a degree in French and Italian from the University of Leicester and a Trinity CertTESOL qualification. She has been teaching in Italy since 2006, specialising in bilingualism and early literacy development in young learners. She has taught Jolly Phonics to hundreds of Italian children and previously founded and managed a non-profit organisation delivering Jolly Phonics courses to kindergarten and primary schools across Milan. In 2021, she completed her PGCE at the University of Cumbria, where she researched the role of synthetic phonics in early literacy and the use of L1 in L2 classrooms. Hannah now delivers teacher training and workshops, supporting educators in developing a principled understanding of synthetic phonics and its effective implementation through the Jolly Phonics programme.
