Yuan Lin

Yuan is an experienced children's educator with 22+ years of experience working with learners ages 3–12 in international schools and language schools in China. She specializes in Phonics and ESOL instruction (17 years) and early years IB PYP Homeroom teaching (6 years). A native Chinese speaker, she is passionate about supporting teachers and students in developing strong literacy foundations.
Yuan discovered Jolly Phonics in 2009 while teaching at an international school and immediately recognized its power to transform how children learn to read. She became a certified Jolly Phonics trainer and has since dedicated herself to this evidence-based methodology.
She founded her own language school in southern China, where she works closely with teachers and students to implement Jolly Phonics with real, measurable results. Through her training and classroom leadership, Lydia has consistently helped teachers build confidence and supported students in achieving improved literacy outcomes.
Yuan is committed to bringing quality Jolly Phonics instruction to more educators and families across China, empowering teachers with the tools and support they need to help every child succeed in reading.
