Laura Bouzas is a qualified teacher of English, with over 30 years of vast experience in the field of education.
Since the year 2009, she has been working together with her partner Ms Gabriela Remedi.
In their role of Coordinators of English at a highly prestigious bilingual school in Montevideo, Laura and Gabriela established the implementation of Jolly Phonics as an essential component of the English Programme.
In 2015, they both became Jolly Phonics Trainers and since then they have been delivering training sessions for teachers in their own school as well as in other bilingual schools in Montevideo and other cities in Uruguay.
Laura is passionately involved in sharing the synthetic phonics approach, which she believes is helpful for all students and crucial for struggling learners. She also believes that Jolly Phonics is an excellent programme to boost students’ confidence and enthusiasm at the time of dealing with the reading, writing and pronunciation skills in the second language.
