STEP 2: Unit 1

Each unit is a week of learning and follows the same structure. Across the week, pupils revise and extend phonics knowledge, practise handwriting, learn new tricky words, and read and write words and sentences. The routine is familiar, predictable and designed to build accuracy and fluency over time.
